Not for the! Overly pretentious, exaggerated, pompous, conceited, self important, hollow and boring

For who then? The, down to earth, genuine, vivacious, happy, exuberant, offbeat, creative, and inspired traveller, who has zeal for life, food, wine and jazzy blues

What is it? It's a seven bedroom guesthouse, situated on the crest of the Oliviershoek Pass (1730m), overlooking the majestic Northern Drakensberg. (Right between the Sterkfontein dam and Seletwane Mountain). A large sand stone house, with oregan pine floors, windows and doors fitted with a tin roof. Built in 1936 by Otto Zunckel, after retiring from the Hotel Trade - tongue in cheek. It has a small restaurant and a pub that is featured in 101 Beloved Bars of Southern Africa by Chris Marais & Pat Hopkins (Zebra, 2007) Thank you Chris and Pat.
