Typical weather in the Drakensberg
| Summer |
November to March sun rises at more or less 5h00 and sets around 19h30. If the days are hot, (20°C- 29°C), one might expect a typical African thunder storm around 15h00 in the afternoon lasting for about an hour, only to clear to a beautiful crisp skyline and bright stars in the evening. If the days are wet and rainy, it could keep for a couple of days, with a lot of mist. The countryside is beautiful and coloured with luminous greens everywhere. Good hiking between 06h00 and 15h00

| Autumn |
April and May is a good time in the mountains, after the rainy season, before the cold winter. Days are cooler, sun starts rising later and setting earlier. Crisp clear skies are perfect viewing / hiking weather

| Winter |
June to August Winter! Very cold mornings and evenings. The days are dry and pleasant. A lot of wind can be expected in August, bringing the due Spring rain.

| Spring |
September to October first rains arrive after winter, all the wild flowers are in bloom. Beautiful days, very similar to summer.

Reservations runs from 08h00 tp 16h00 Monday to Sunday.
Breakfast opens from 07h30 to 10h00 Monday to Sunday
We do Lunch from 10h00 to 15h00 Monday to Sunday
Dinners are enjoyed from 18h00 to 20h30 Moday to Sunday
The Pianola bar operate Monday to Friday from 15h00 to 22h00. On public holidays, Saturdays, Sundays and big sport days, the bar opens at 11h00, and closes at consequently.
Please note that during quiet seasons, these times will change. We will close some Sunday evenings, especially in Winter, and we will close (giving plenty notice) when we realise that we need some time off to recoperate, rest, preserve sanity and look after our own well being.
